The MuSE Consortium is an international network of individuals interested in engagement in research, evidence synthesis, and guidelines.
The MuSE-Evidence Synthesis project aims to develop guidance for engaging with different interest holders throughout all steps of evidence syntheses.
We have identified 11 categories of interest holders. These include:
<br/> - Patients, patient caregivers, patient advocates/organizations
<br/>- Payers of health research
<br/>- Payers / Purchasers of health services
<br/>- Peer reviewed journal editors
<br/>- Policymakers
<br/>- Principal investigators and all members of the research team
<br/>- Producers and commissioners of evidence syntheses
<br/>- Product makers
<br/>- Program managers
<br/>- Providers
<br/>- Public
To develop guidance for engagement in evidence synthesis, we will conduct a series of reviews. The protocols of these reviews will be available here. The topics of the reviews are:
<br/> a) engagement methods (scoping review and evidence map)
<br/>b) barriers and facilitators to engagement in conduct of evidence synthesis (systematic review)
<br/>c) impact of engagement in evidence synthesis (systematic review)
<br/>d) conflicts of interest in engagement in evidence synthesis (systematic review)
<br/>e) equity considerations in engagement in evidence synthesis (evidence map)
